One of Mr. Felix Valdellon's masterpieces in the late 1990's. This statue of Jesus Christ, 6 ft tall is made of bass wood, locally known as "batikuling". Hand-painted with oil. The wig or "peluca" was made of real-human hair which was commisioned by the owner and customed-made to fit the head of the statue by Revlon Hair Studio in New York. More often the statue of Christ is wearing the traditional wigs made of abaca, jusi, pinya or mais.
The beautifully-hand embroidered vestment of the statue was made by Mr. Bert Mondragon in Manila, Philippines.
The "Tres Potencias" or the 3 rays of light radiating from the head of Christ was made by a Filipino artist "Latero" in Manila. Attached to the hand-crafted Potencias are 120 fine-red, blue and green Swarovski Crystals.
These "Tres Potencias" also symbolizes 3 faculties of man: will, judgement & memory. Locally called as "sinag".
